In einem Feldversuch von Qualcomm, EE und Huawei testete man, welche maximale Downstream-Rate mit dem neuen Snapdragon 810<\/a> SoC praktisch m\u00f6glich w\u00e4re. Das Ergebnis, welches bei diesem Test heraus kam, kann sich auf jeden Fall sehen lassen: Maximal 410 MBit\/s konnten erreicht werden.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Technisch ist dieser Bandbreiten-Rekord auf der LTE-Category-9 Spezifikation aufgebaut. Dieses Verfahren greift auf die sogenannte Carrier Aggregation zur\u00fcck, die eine Art Kanalb\u00fcndelung darstellt. Der Test wurde im Netz des britischen Providers EE durchgef\u00fchrt. Dieses ist mit der LTE-Advanced Technologie von Huawei ausgestattet. F\u00fcr den Test wurden jeweils Spektren von 20 Megahertz aus den 2600 MHz- und 1800 MHz-B\u00e4ndern sowie weitere 15 MHz aus dem 2600 MHz-Spektrum eines anderen Netzes zusammengeschlossen.<\/p>\n

Dem aktuellen Stand der Technik nach beschr\u00e4nkt sich die Carrier Aggregation\u00a0noch auf zwei verschiedene Frequenzbereiche. Im neuen Qualcomm SoC wird es nun jedoch m\u00f6glich sein gleich drei Spektren zur parallelen Daten\u00fcbertragung zu nutzen, um so die Geschwindigkeit noch weiter in die H\u00f6he zu treiben. Momentan liegt die theoretisch maximal erreichbare Bandbreite von zwei Spektren noch bei 300 Mbit\/s, durch die Hinzuschaltung des dritten Spektrums k\u00f6nnten demzufolge maximal 450 Mbit\/s erreicht werden.<\/p>\n

Nach Aussagen von Qualcomm soll der Snapdragon 810 SoC mit LTE Cat 9 ab Anfang 2015 bereitstehen. Bis allerdings das Portfolio an Smartphones mit diesem SoC eine gr\u00f6\u00dfere Zahl erreicht, d\u00fcrfte noch einige Zeit ins Land gehen. Auch ist es notwendig, dass die Netzbetreiber ihre Funkzellen f\u00fcr die neue Technologie um- bzw. aufr\u00fcsten. Vielleicht kommt man dann auch langsam in die Richtung der richtigen Flatrates, denn was n\u00fctzen diese maximalen Bandbreiten, wenn nach ein paar hundert Megabyte oder zwei Gigabyte auf maximal 64 Kilobit pro Sekunde oder vielleicht sogar noch weniger gedrosselt wird.<\/p>\n
